CRC Evans – Construction and Corporate Filming

Client: CRC Evans
Role: Director / DOP / Editor
Production: Tomorrow’s Creative
Cameras: Sony FX9, Sony FX3 & DJI Mini 4 Pro

I worked as Director of Photography, Camera Operator, Drone Operator and Editor on an extended filming project for CRC Evans, a global specialist in welding, coating and technology for energy and critical infrastructure.

The production followed the development of a new CRC Evans facility in North West England. Filming took place across several months, allowing us to document the transformation of the site from the early construction stages through to completion.

Construction progress filming

Regular visits captured important milestones as the project developed. These included building work, equipment installation, exterior progress and activity across the site. Establishing shots showed the scale of the development, while closer details highlighted the engineering and construction work involved.

I combined conventional filming with fixed-position timelapse footage. As a result, the completed content could show both gradual progress and the human activity behind the development.

Where conditions allowed, I also captured licensed aerial footage using a drone. These elevated views provided valuable context and clearly demonstrated how the site changed throughout the project.

Corporate interviews and cinematography

Alongside the construction coverage, I filmed interviews with key members of the CRC Evans team. I carefully controlled the lighting, composition and sound to create a consistent corporate style across multiple visits.

The interviews helped explain the purpose of the development and its importance to the company’s future operations. Supporting footage of the facility, workforce and equipment added visual context to each contribution.
