Branded Films and Campaign Content
As a branded content DOP based in the North East, I create campaign films, social-first video and visual brand stories for agencies, production companies and direct clients.
Every project starts with the brief, audience and platform. I then develop a visual approach that supports the brand while giving the content a distinctive look. My involvement can include treatments, location planning, shot lists, lighting design, lens choices and camera movement.

Cinematic Content for Every Platform
Branded content often needs to work across several platforms. Therefore, I plan each production around its intended formats and delivery requirements.
A campaign may need a landscape hero film alongside shorter 16:9, square and vertical edits. By considering these formats during pre-production, I can compose shots that work across multiple versions without weakening the main film.
My approach combines strong cinematography with an understanding of short-form storytelling. As a result, the footage can feel polished and cinematic while still capturing attention quickly on social media.
Branded Content Experience
My branded-content work covers automotive, sport, lifestyle and entertainment campaigns.
For example, I worked as Director and DOP on Dacia x George Bullard: Britain Off-Road. The campaign included nine short Instagram films and a landscape hero edit.
I also worked as DOP on an EA Sports FC Mobile production at Liverpool’s training ground. We designed the camera approach around fast-paced vertical delivery featuring Liverpool players.
Another project featured England cricketer Jonny Bairstow for LV= and England Cricket. For this film, controlled interview lighting helped retain both the contributor and the recognisable cricket-ground setting.
Camera, Lighting and Crew Support
My main camera package centres on the Sony FX9, with the Sony FX3 available for second-camera, gimbal and native vertical filming.
In addition, I can provide professional lenses, LED lighting, grip and location sound equipment. Licensed drone filming can also add movement, scale and a stronger sense of location.
For larger productions, I can help source additional camera operators, sound recordists and production crew. Alternatively, I can work with equipment and crew supplied by the production company.

Based in South Shields, I work throughout Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, Northumberland, Middlesbrough, Teesside and the wider North East.
My local knowledge can help visiting agencies plan locations, access and realistic travel times. Furthermore, the North East Screen Film Office can support productions searching for regional locations, facilities and local contacts.
I also work nationally from bases in Manchester, London and Glasgow.
