This was a one day shoot at Factory Studios in Manchester for the production company Contended. We filmed a series a films around the topics of mental health and how to spot the early warning signs.

I worked with a small crew, one B camera operator and a sound recordist. I was a two camera shoot, the main camera had an eye direct attached to it so the director could interview the subject with them looking direclty down the lens of the camera. The second camera was off to the right handside approximetly 75% from the main camera to give us a second anlge of the subject for the interviews.

I decided to shoot this project on my Sony FS7 and hire a second FS7 in to shoot alongside as B – Cam. I decided to shoot on a set of Zeiss Super Speeds mk II lenses. To do this I also had to hire two Vocas E-mount to PL mount apators.

I shot the project in 4K DCI to give the post production maxium resolution from the camera to allow them to reframe and crop as requested in their original technical brief. I shot in the 16:9 ratio with a 1×1 ratio in the centre which a favoured the framing to allow it to be use for social media also.
